Dr Heidl is a very competent doctor who looks beyond the obvious. He not only took into account the acute complaints, but, based on a comprehensive blood test, identified possible connections with other illnesses, even though these do not actually fall within his field of orthopaedics. Chapeau! Dr Heidl referred me, with a very serious suspected diagnosis, to a specialist in Münster, who was equally impressed by his foresight, as it is such a rare disease. The specialist immediately referred me to a hospital (Münster) where this suspected diagnosis is indeed a focus. Thanks to the competence and foresight of Dr Heidl, this rare disease will be taken into account in further examinations. I can highly recommend this doctor. He takes time, listens, gets straight to the point openly and honestly, and informs himself thoroughly. Dr Heidl has my complete trust. Thank you, Dr Heidl!

Despite a full practice, Dr Heidl took sufficient time, explained his assessments vividly, addressed problems directly and, in addition to his own examinations and treatment approaches, provided assistance in finding other specialists. Dr Heidl remained calm and objective, also responded to questions from relatives, helped to assess (sometimes questionable) preliminary examinations and diagnoses from third parties, without considering his own assessment to be absolutely correct and final, and gave recommendations for further action without being patronising or exerting pressure.

Compared with appointments with several other orthopaedists (in the Münsterland region), which in my opinion were often characterised by time pressure, superficiality and a lack of willingness to examine and continue treatment, the conversation with Dr Heidl was informative, problem-oriented and (at least partly) goal-oriented and therefore, all in all, simply more helpful.

After 3 years of constant knee pain, I called Doctor Heidl on my mother's recommendation, quickly got an appointment and, for the first time, a real diagnosis was made. After 2 further operations, the doctor himself did not want there to be a third. So I decided on ACP therapy. I have a big needle phobia and had many horror scenarios in mind, only to find out in the end that it wasn’t that bad – rather quick and effective.

I just wanted insoles for my running shoes, but I got much more... I visited Dr Heidl due to a misalignment of my right foot and he asked about my intention for running... I knew I was too heavy and had got through the winter well, but...

I was very surprised about my weight (over 130!!!) and received tips from Dr Heidl on nutrition, running and calorie counting (app) and a lot of other useful advice to read and think about. The consultation was brilliant and so were the insoles. With a bit of discipline and healthy exercise and not a single day of hunger, I have already lost 18 kilos since January... If you want something, you can achieve a lot.

I would like to thank you for the subtle "kick in the...". The doctor and the team around him are fun, provided you join in.

I have drawn in a work colleague and my wife, and that is even more motivation... Even the snoring is gone... and that is a dream for both of us.

I can only say thank you and will keep going. I don’t want to disappoint the doc and especially myself...

Even running is easier for me... up to 12.5 km is doable, and without pain as before, and I can even chat while doing it...

I have had lower back pain for about 3 years and have already been to many doctors. I received help at the practice of Dr Heidel and Dr Daubenspeck. Facet infiltration was applied to me. Here, with the help of an X-ray device, a syringe is placed directly on the spinal vertebrae.

Don’t worry, the treatment really doesn’t hurt, it just sounds bad. Immediately after the first treatment, I felt a significant improvement. In total, I received three injections (1 injection per week) and — what can I say — I am so happy — the back pain is gone.

I have spondylarthrosis of the lumbar spine. The pain radiated from the lumbar spine through the buttocks down into the legs and feet. Since January, I have tried to get the pain under control with painkillers and cortisone drips. Unfortunately, the symptoms kept getting worse. Dr Heidl then recommended PRT injections (3 x 2 injections at weekly intervals). I was very afraid of these injections and therefore kept trying painkillers instead. At some point, the pain became so severe that I decided to go for the injections. They are really quite bearable and have already helped a lot. Today I am getting the last 2 injections. I really should have done this much earlier.

He listens well, takes the statements and concerns of his patients seriously, and examines thoroughly and empathetically. If a clear and definite diagnosis cannot be made immediately, he suggests alternative diagnostic measures (e.g. CT, MRI or other imaging procedures). At the slightest doubt, Dr Heidl never rushes to a conclusion but also considers other possible causes in the diagnostic process.
In manual examinations and medical procedures (e.g. lumbar injections), Dr Heidl shows great skill and medical as well as therapeutic experience.

He explains very well and clearly, and despite his objectivity, he allows his humour and human qualities to shine through at appropriate moments. Fascinating, among other things, is his extraordinary ability to concentrate. This enables him to listen well, respond, and almost simultaneously type a detailed report "in no time" into the computer.
